❌ Problem
Coastal Carolina Comfort was running a Google Ads campaign that was burning budget without bringing in high-quality leads.
The issues were severe:
- Google’s Performance Max (PM ax) and branded campaigns were doing all the work, giving Google full control with minimal results.
- Location targeting was random, with the ad account showing in cities the business didn’t even serve.
- No conversion tracking — they had no Google Tag Manager, no clarity on what users did after clicking the ad, and were essentially flying blind.
- Traffic was sent to generic, SEO-optimized web pages rather than conversion-optimized landing pages.
- In terms of sales, too many leads came from low-value areas and form leads were underperforming compared to phone calls, yet no funnel adjustments had been made.

With no proper account structure, tracking, or targeting, the business had:

I completely rebuilt the growth system in three layers:
1️⃣ Google Ads & Tracking Overhaul
- Scrapped PMax and launched search-only campaigns using STAG-based ad groups for precise targeting.
- Locked in location targeting to only the areas the business actually served — eliminating wasted spend.

Conversion tracking :
- Installed Google Tag Manager and set up all critical conversion events.
- Deployed Microsoft Clarity and Google Analytics 4 via GTM to track user behavior and identify conversion drop-offs.

Installed the Microsoft Clarity by Integrating With GTM to get the heat map and all Use Recording Sessions to see what happens after clicks
And improved landing pages using those heat maps
2️⃣ Landing Page Optimization
- Removed all ad traffic from content-heavy pages and built separate, lightweight landing pages for each service.
- Used insights from Microsoft Clarity to continuously tweak copy, layout, and CTA based on real user behavior.
- Pages focused on speed, clarity, and call-centric CTAs.
3️⃣ Funnel & Targeting Refinement
- Worked directly with the owner to shift targeting from low-income areas to affluent neighborhoods, increasing job size.
- Discovered that calls were converting at a higher rate than form fills, so ads were optimized to drive calls first.
- Analyzed the average sales cycle to match ad messaging and follow-up timing accordingly.
